The Network of Community Development Centers (NCDC) was established as a nationwide organization in November 1999. Comprising 89 groups (current as of February 2005) such as community development institutes and regional public bodies, the NCDC is seeking ways to create safe, high-quality urban spaces with the participation of local residents. In connection with this, the NCDC is conducting community development surveys and research and exchanging information among its members, as well as with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and regional public bodies.
