Based on the Osaka City Urban Revitalization Program (March 2003), the Office of Urban Revitalization and Promotion (OURP) puts an emphasis on publicizing the strengths and advantages of Osaka with the goal of enticing companies, universities and research institutions, and tourists to the city.
Commissioned by the OURP, we created its website in September 2003, and are currently operating it. The website showcases the three policy objectives of Osaka City's urban revitalization: 1) strengthening functions to create intellectual businesses; 2) enhancing functions to invite more visitors to Osaka and develop cultural activities; 3) promoting attractive urban development. The website also indicates urban development sites and business environment including business incentives in Osaka City.
What is more, by adding a Chinese-language (simplified characters) edition to our English edition in FY2004, we are now distributing information in 3 languages.
