Utilizing information and communication tools we have developed to date, we are working on city promotion in cooperation with the Office of Urban Revitalization and Promotion, City of Osaka.
In October 2004, as part of the events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Osaka-Shanghai friendship city partnership, the faculty of Tongji University in Shanghai were invited to participate in the Osaka-Shanghai Urban Planning Symposium, which was held under the theme of the "Shanghai City Development and Exposition". We took that opportunity to finalize plans for an Osaka extension campus of Tongji University, and together with the City of Osaka and others, we will work to make that a reality.
